18th PA Safe SC Meeting at the MA

On 6 June 2018, the 18th meeting of the International Steering Committee for the Policy Area on Maritime Safety and Security of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR) took place in Tallinn at the Estonian Maritime Administration.

The EUSBSR defines in its Action Plan the priority policy areas which include maritime safety and security (PA Safe). The objective is to make the Baltic Sea region the leader in the field of safety and security. This objective is to be achieved through various projects, and those that have a particular significance for the Baltic Sea become flagship projects. Currently there are nine such flagship projects, three of which (WINMOS II, FAMOS and EfficienSea2) also include our Administration as a partner. The work of flagship projects is coordinated by the Danish Maritime Authority and the Finnish Transport Safety Agency (Trafi).
