Procurement for Chartering Backup Icebreakers02.07.2010
The Estonian Maritime Administration announced a public procurement to charter backup icebreakers in the Bay of Pärnu, the Gulf of Riga and the Gulf of Finland for the winter navigation season of 2010-2011. More List of Lights in Estonian Waters 201001.07.2010
The MA has published a new edition of List of Lights in Estonian Waters, containing information on the fixed and floating aids to navigation located in Estonian waters and on the coast as of 01 June 2010. The technical description of the aids to navigation listed (name, location, coordinates, light characteristics, height from sea level, visibility and description) is given in Estonian and English, and the text is illustrated with photographs. This publication can be purchased directly from the MA at 4 Valge Street (additional information: +372 620 5645, +372 620 5649) or from the distributors of the MA navigational charts. The full database of aids to navigation is available on the MA homepage (http://195.50.203.61/SLAID1EN.HTM). As of 01 January 2011, the Paris MoU New Inspection Regime (NIR) will take effect. With the introduction of the NIR the Paris MoU will change its target of inspecting 25% of individual ships calling at each member State to a shared commitment for full coverage of inspecting all ships visiting ports and anchorages in the PMoU region as a whole.
